Elinor is a prose and poetry writer who has lived in New York for over 40 years. She frequently writes about baseball, cars and driving, place, and maintains a six-day-a-week (almost) blog as a challenge to finish something every day. Her books include CARS & Other Poems, the collections American Guys and Now That I Know Where I’m Going, So Late into the Night(a book-length poem in ottava rima), My Marriage A to Z: A big- city romance, many chapbooks, and, as editor, Ladies, Start Your Engines: Women writers on cars & the road (Faber & Faber, 1997) and Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend: Women writers on baseball(Faber & Faber, 1994).
