Friday 27th Jan 7:00pm-10pm: Burns Night

A celebration of Burns at Tyninghame Village Hall for residents and their friends in the traditional way.

The evening will include a three course dinner and entertainment. BYOB.

Suggested donation: £15 per adult head and £5 per child over 10.

This event is now full and bookings have closed.

Please note early start time 7pm prompt.

Sunday 9th April: Easter weekend activities: 10:30-12:30

Sun 9th: Easter egg and shapes decorating in the Hall, children’s activity trail etc

Monday 8th May: Coronation event:2:30pm. 

Tea, cakes and possibly some dressing up! Details here

An invitation will be dropped through your door.

If you are able to join us please RSVP to geantree.cottage@gmail.com, or leave a note in dedicated box at the bus stop. We just need to know the number of adults and children and any dietary requirements we should cater for.

A 2-course lunch for bridge players and their friends

 

 

Sunday 17th September daytime 3pm-5pm: Apple Pressing

 

Bring your windfall apples along for pressing to make some delicious fresh apple juice. Bring along clean bottles too.

 

Friday 13th Oct from 7:30pm: Pub Night Special: A representative from Galbraiths will be in attendance to answer your questions about Estate intentions for the village.

Sunday 22nd October daytime 11am-3pm: Apple Pressing

 

Bring your windfall apples along for pressing to make some delicious fresh apple juice. Bring your empty bottles too.

 

Sunday 29th Oct 4:45-6:30pm: Halloween Trail and Children’s activity

Follow the spooky village trail if you dare, followed by children’s activities in the Hall.

 

Friday 10th Nov from 7:30pm: Pub Night Wine Challenge

A social evening with neighbours with a quiz and wine tasting.

BYOB and nibbles to share. A £10 cash donation is welcomed for those who wish to participate in the wine tasting. Please reserve a place here. Booking essential.

 

Friday 1st (evening), Saturday 2nd (morning and afternoon) Dec: Christmas Wreath Making Workshops

Come and make a beautiful Christmas Wreath. All materials and foliage provided.

Friday 8th Dec 7:30pm: Committee hosted Christmas Party

Join the committee in celebrating the season with a glass of wine, some savouries and mince pies

 

Sunday 24th Dec 4:30pm: Christmas Carols in The Smithy Café Courtyard

Join us for some carol singing by candlelight. All welcome.

Wrap up warm and bring a lamp.

 

Monday 1st January: New Year’s Day walk & Pot Luck Lunch

All welcome to join in a gentle walk followed by a Pot Luck Lunch in the Hall.

BYOB and food to share. Times TBC.

Other events both community and fund raising will pop up over the year, such as table tennis (Sunday afternoons) skills workshops and music sessions.

These events will be advertised on the Tyninghame Community WhatsApp and on the Tyninghame Village Hall website. 

Any funds raised through these community events will contribute to “not for profit community events” and ongoing TVH refurbishments and maintenance.
