Message from the Community Engagement Group (CEG )
The 2026 calendar of events is currently being worked on and we hope to have a number of fun things arranged for the village for the next 10 months or so. Whilst we know that you will be disappointed that this year there is not to be a Burns Supper, it is our intention to have a Scottish themed night and we plan to be back even better for Burns Night 2027.
Hosting activities is fun and all volunteers in the CEG get enjoyment out of being able to contribute, however, events such as the Burns Night takes not just enthusiasm, it needs people to support the cooking and clear up, and to be willing participants in the delivery of songs, poetry and making people laugh. SO the plea for this year from CEG is :- even if you cannot join in with everything, please come and try your hand at something, as without the commitment and support from villagers, things will just not happen.
Carol who Chairs CEG will be looking for new volunteers when we hold the Tyninghame Village Hall & Community Committee AGM in April, but in the meantime she will be happy to chat with anyone who feels that they have something to offer.
