The Hall is at the centre of the village and is managed and maintained by a volunteer Committee (Tyninghame Village Hall and Community Committee). Due to the Hall’s position in the centre of the village, the Committee is careful to keep within a community threshold of tolerance for big events and noise levels. We therefore impose the following restrictions:
- A strict evening curfew applies of 10pm on weekdays (Monday – Thursday) and 11pm at weekends.
- Amplification of any music must be limited to within the Hall. Absolutely NO music amplification outside the Hall building. We hold a music licence which allows acoustic music and personal playlists at events.
- We are unable to accommodate 18th and 21st birthday celebrations.
- Any dog present must be under the full control of their owner (or other responsible person) at all times, be fully house trained and on a lead or harness. Any dog which behaves aggressively will be immediately removed from the Hall.
- Please note, as we are a community run hall, we only allow 8 weddings to take place per annum to minimize disruption to the village.
Please be sure to read our Terms & Conditions fully.
Booking requests are sometimes referred to the Committee if there are several late events occurring during the month. Please be patient if this situation arises.
Owing to the popularity of the Village Hall as a wedding venue and a limit on the number of weddings per month, we recommend that prospective wedding clients book early to avoid disappointment. Weddings can be booked 18 months in advance.
We encourage you to discuss all booking needs with our Events Manager, by emailing tyninghamebookings@gmail.com
