A big thank you to all who donated to the collection for the East Lothian Foodbank when attending either Carols Birthday Ceilidh or the Carol singing in the Village Hall on Christmas Eve.
Almost 100 items were donated along with £235.
The idea of collecting for the Foodbank was generated at the Carol singing on Christmas Eve 2024 where a spontaneous collection raised around £100 giving the seed that this should become an annual thing i.e. to collect for a good cause. The carol singing, which started several years ago with a handful of villagers singing in
the cafe Courtyard has grown and grown with around 60 people singing in the village hall this year.
We are very grateful to Dave of the Smithy Cafe who every year has provided us all with hot chocolate and assorted goodies. To Elinor Evans who has supported us also every year, (all bar one) with her Clarsach playing.
Then additionally this year also supporting us for the first time (hopefully not the last) Sally Day, Andrew Cottie and
their son Struan.
With all Good Wishes for the New Year
