DUNPENDER (EAST LINTON AREA) COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Tyninghame comes within the Dunpender Community Council, which covers East Linton, Tyninghame, Whitekirk, Whittinghame and neighbouring settlements http://www.eastlinton.uk.com/community/ctymcouncil.html. ‘Dunpender’ is the old name for Traprain Law. The Community Council has a maximum of 12 community councillors selected every three years. If there are more than 12 candidates an election is held, but this has not arisen for over 10 years. Currently the Tyninghame representative is Daniel Wight: danny.wight.mob@gmail.com 07845 222774. The Community Council meets on the first Thursday of each month, except in July and August, and meetings are open to the public.
At the TVHC Committee meeting on 22 Jan. 2024 Danny Wight presented the following summary of Dunpender Community Council issues that relate directly to Tyninghame.
