We look forward to welcoming groups, classes and residents back to Tyninghame Village Hall when restrictions have eased.
In light of the Covid-19 Pandemic the Tyninghame Village Hall Committee has developed policies and processes for hall renters that will ensure the safe and responsible use of the hall. Documents can be found on the booking terms and conditions page.
Tyninghame Village Hall is privately owned but is maintained by a volunteer committee within the village for use as a community event space, its upkeep funded by private hire at the following rates:
Private hire: £25 per hour (minimum 3 hrs) or £150 per calendar day (more than 5 hours), rising to £200 per calendar day Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Minimum booking 3 hours. Private day bookings run 9am to 7pm latest. Half-day , morning (9am-1pm) or afternoon (1pm-5pm), bookings are accepted for Monday-Thursday only at £40.
Public events and classes: £20 per hour (minimum 3 hrs) or £75 per calendar day (more than 5 hours), rising to £150 per calendar day at the weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
Weddings: £700 for three days hire (fixed cost, half day not an option for Sunday). As a Village wedding ceremony venue we can only accommodate a small number of weddings per year so early booking is advised.
A deposit of 50% of the hire costs to be paid on booking and the remainder to be made 28 days prior to the event, wedding or classes. Full amount to be paid on booking for events or classes held within 28 days.
Cancellation policy: We are unable to refund booking deposits where events or classes are cancelled within 28 days of the event. We can however offer to reschedule where possible.
Fees for not-for-profit community events are negotiable as are fees for private hire by village residents. Please contact the Hall Keeper, Eric Martin on email@example.com
Logs for hire: As we now have new efficient heaters installed, it is an optional extra to have logs for the open fire for classes or events. The cost is £10 per session for classes or £20 for a full day event. Please inform the Hall Keeper if you wish to have logs made available and add the cost to your booking fee.
The hall will comfortably seat 50 people for lunch/dinner. We have seating for 100 people.
We have a strict acoustic music only policy and cut-off for events is 11pm.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE HALL. Please see below for links to Public Transport options, Taxis and Private Hire.
Please note: For the foreseeable future we are not able to accommodate private evening parties with the exception of weddings. We ask all renters to continue to be considerate of this lovely old building, its historic surroundings and our residents.
